I know I’m joking about how Wicked Part 2 is going to be insane compared to Part 1, but it actually is so interesting when viewed as separate second part of the story -

Because hear me out - imo, the end of Act 1 sets up where the lines in the sand are for the three key characters:

Elphaba chooses to follow her morals and reject the system, even to her own isolation and destruction. Her line is her dedication to “making good.”

Glinda, her foil, openly admits that she cannot turn down the allure of the system’s power and stability, even at the sacrifice of her morals and her closest friendship. Her line is her power and popularity.

Fiyero, further foiling Glinda, is the person who would have blindly said yes to Elphaba’s offer. He is completely, unquestioningly devoted to Elphaba - even to a fault - believing that she will always be good and choose the right thing (as she “doesn’t care what others think”).* His line is his unwavering loyalty to Elphaba.

*admittedly, this is less evident at the end of Act 1, but it’s made VERY clear within the first 5min of Act 2 so I’m counting it as an Act 1 arc

But then Act 2 forces them to respect the line they’ve decided to draw in increasingly devastating ways, and eventually forces them to violate their lines or have the lines destroy them:

Elphaba’s sacrifices turn her into a complete pariah, forcing her to lose everything she had and worked for in an instant. She fights every day for what she believes in, even though she sees it’s fruitless and only leading to the destruction of everything she loves. But Elphaba stands strong even against the Wizard’s temptation of leaving behind her failing cause. However, she’s finally pushed over her edge when one of the two people who still believed in her “goodness” dies for that belief. And it drives her to throw away every good intention and dive head-first into a pursuit of power and control. She must ultimately be influenced by Glinda to once again choose self-sacrifice for the greater good, giving up her power and dreams of normality in Oz. “Now it’s up to you, for both of us”

Glinda builds great political capital and becomes one of the most important, beloved characters in the nation. But nothing is real: she’s engaged to a man who clearly doesn’t love her, she’s openly decrying a woman who she clearly still loves herself, and the system she operates in troubles her even as she benefits from it. Elphaba again tempts her to leave, and Fiyero’s clear willingness to jump ship should be an even greater temptation, but she can’t leave it behind. Not until the very end of the story does she finally recreate the Ozdust dance: acting against her own self-interest to save Elphaba and take up the fire of her cause

Fiyero, to his credit, is the only person who cannot be pushed from his line. The very first chance he gets, he follows Elphaba blindly, despite hearing all these terrible things about her. Then he willingly sacrifices himself for her and her cause, and they torture him to (a fate worse than) death for it. And even when Elphaba really does go evil, he still believes that she will ultimately choose good. His loyalty to her is not well rewarded (see: fate worse than death), but he makes his sacrifice willingly. His belief destroyed him.

What I really like about the play’s story is that from all these different starting goals and motivations, every character is forced to give up everything that is dear to them - including their fundamental selves - by the end of the story. Yet, they all three still continue to overlap and influence each other in ways that lead them all to a choice of “making good” in the end. SO excited to see that played out on screen.

Lion'El Johnson & Dark Angels fans (8/10): I like the fanarts they make, also 100 points for portraying Lion like a rouge kitty cat sometimes. Oh I also like how the Lion fans are embracing the 'our primarch is obviously neurodivergent and we love him for it'

Fulgrim & E.Children fans (10/10): This part of the group always produce the best fanart?? Or at least a lot of artworks for E.Children in general. Though browsing his fanart must be done with caution cause 20% chance I might see schlongous or booty.

Perturabo & I.W fans (8/10): I'm sorry about your favorite character. Not many of them are around though :( But so far their fanart production have been solid. I like how they kinda just chill and embrace the 'neurodivergent manchild' persona for Bo and makes no attempt to refute it.

Jaghatai Khan & W.Scars fans (8/10): Surprisingly not many of them. I'm kinda bummed out about it since I like this character. Though his fanarts are mostly adorable! They're always chill, I'm happy to see them on my feed -`♡´-

Leman Russ & S.W fans (7/10): I would rate it 8/10 but I hate stimky wolf grrrr so -1 point (msflora found dead in fenris more at news 6). Anyways fanart-wise, they're so good!! I like how they always draw Leman like a scrunkly lil guy. I also love to read their fanfictions.

Rogal Dorn & I.Fists fans (6/10): WHERE ARE YOU PEOPLE?! I CAN'T FIND YOU!! I RATE IT LOW BECAUSE I'M SCRAPING THE GROUND FOR ROGAL DORN CONTENT! But in all seriousness, loving how they embrace the 'fortify' meme. I don't like the weird Black Templar larpers from twitter, but that's just a 1% of the fanbase

Konrad Curze & Night Lord fans (8/10): Your fanfictions scares me, most of the hashtags are nowhere written in the bible, but I read them all so who am I to judge. I love how this side of the fandom just embrace the 'we are bad and disturbing and creepy' schtick and go ball. I blame this side of the fandom for making me love Jago Sevatar tho.

Sanguinius & Blood Angels fans (10/10): Insane artworks from this side of the fandom, always impress me. A lot of vampire and angelic stuff, I love you guys. Sorry about your primarch tho.

Ferrus Manus & I.H fans (all six of them) (7/10): I'm sorry about your primarch, I'm sorry he get crumbs in the lore. I rate it low because I'm scraping for any IH/Ferrus content here....

f1news Mclaren had Pato O’ward fill in for Oscar Piastri all throughout 3 practice sessions. Oscar is reportedly cleared for driving and is healthy as told by the FIA.

Even without putting in time and practicing Oscar will be driving for qualifying and the main race.

She met you through Ekko. You were his (adoptive, biological wtfever shut up) sister and safe to say, she was borderline obsessed with you. But, she didn’t know how to approach you at first. Her very obvious crush on you was noticed by both Ekko and Jinx so they took it upon themselves to help her out.

To get some extra money, she works at her dad’s bar, The Last Drop. She’s a bouncer and whenever she’s around, people tend to behave themselves. It was a normal night until Vi saw you chatting up a storm to Vander and she immediately started to panic. But it all seemed to go on well, seeing how the night ended with your number in her pocket.

Vi can count all of the friends she has on one hand, one of them being her sister. So safe to say, when she admitted that she somehow has a girlfriend, none of them believed her. Jayce even called her a liar until she pulled up pictures.

Vi was out one day when she bought you both matching boxers. She cherishes them like it’s her most prized possession, next to you and the brass knuckles Vander gave her.

“Vi, what are these?”

”Batman boxers!”

You couldn’t help but match her wide smile. “Why Batman?”

Needless to say, both you, Mel and Viktor always expect something to go wrong with those two. (Have we lost the art of a good poly-ship? Jayce has two hand so just kiss and shut up)

Do not EVER call her Violet, she’ll think you are upset with her and will probably tweak out and cry. The only acceptable names to call her are Vi, obviously, or ‘Pretty Girl.’ You were only a few months into your relationship when you called her that, she spent like 5 minutes in straight silence not really sure how to react; something you did notice was that her face was as red as her hair.

Vi will also lay her complete body weight on top of you when you lay down; it's one of her favorite ways of cuddling. (For my gamer!readers) Especially if you’re playing a game, you will wrap your arms around her with the controller laying on her back. The both of you will stay there for hours.

wanted to share some notes i had about this piece because i've thought about this ship way too hard:

so, faolan goes through a lot of changes after joining elgar'nan (mostly focusing on the visual here). he's a crow, so he usually wears the purple leathers, but his colour scheme switches to gold - to match elgar'nan's, of course :)

he's a crow and has kept the feathery crow mantle as part of his outfit, though the feathers are brown and gold now.

he also wears a lot of jewellery now, whereas before he only had one stud earring. it contrasts with elgar'nan who wears none at all.

a big part of the jewellery are the chains. they're thin and delicate and look pretty... and they're chains. faolan always hated not having control in his life, and a big part of that is why he ended up giving in to elgar'nan. he wanted that comfort and security in exchange for loss of control: he locked himself in a gilded cage.

faolan already had his forehead vallaslin beforehand - but elgar'nan gives him body vallaslin after too. it would probably be the same colour, but i made it shiny gold here to show that it's new, and different to his other vallaslin. (elgar'nan never uses it to control him though; not because he doesn't want to, but because he doesn't need to)

i drew fal with his hair down hehehe :)

edit because i forgot: the caption? you know "garas lasa, da'len" means "come to me, child/little one" - i just can't stop thinking about "come to me, child, and i shall embrace you. in my arms lies eternity."

and if anyone's wondering how these two get together: faolan couldn't escape the fade prison. he just couldn't get over everything that happened. then he started to regret not joining up with elgar'nan since the beginning... and this regret met with elgar'nan's across the veil, who managed to reach him in the prison and, in short, gave him another chance and got him out =)

As disappointing as it is, this isn’t the first time a remarkably bland straight ship has been made canon so shippers will continue to do what they always have and ship anyway.

Though I will say I do wish Ururaka hadn’t ended up with Izuku. I think it wouldn’t been really nice to subvert the classic trope and have her truly move on from feelings she had as a teenager, especially since so much of her character is becoming her own person and hero seperate to her feelings for Izuku. I would have loved if she hadn’t ended up with a man (especially with that man being Izuku) but because she is written by one, maybe I should have guessed this would happen.

The dudebros have already become annoying under bkdk and tgchk posts which is a shame but hopefully they’ll quiet down soon rather than becoming jjk fandom 2.0

Kup was currently yelling at the younger wreckers as per usual while Springer took a small vacation on a planet else where. Bulkhead especially was pretty sad since he accidentally broke something.

You’d then walk in with a couple data pads in your cervos as Kup keeps speaking.

The others then see you and give you pleading optics to help them. Even putting their cervos together. Kup notices and scolds them more. “Don’t look at them. They cant always save you. You bunch off-“

He was cut off as you got to him. Grabbing his chin and turning his helm to face you. “Y/N can’t you see I’m scolding them-“ He soon shuts up as your dermas connects with his.

All of a sudden he seems to soon be calm and shuts up. The other wreckers waiting to see if it’ll work.

Once you pulled away Kup seemed almost intranced as he grumbled a bit with a blush as he tried to speak. His optics almost hazy as he frowned. “Y’all can…go”

His helm resting ontop of your chest as you gently held him. You’d then wink at the others with a smile. In a way you became like a carrier to them since then and the others made their way out to have drinks.

”You’re evil..” Kup says. As you let out a deep chuckle and kiss his helm.

”Still works.” His cervos then holds your waist and he stands a little straighter as connects his dermas with yours. Your arms wrapping around his as your both kissed each other. Alone in the room at last��.again.

Bonus Ending:

Bulkhead walked over to Y/N while they were making energon. He had some Cybertronian flowers and wished to give them to you. You accepted and you both started chatting.

Eventually he soon took you by surprise. Bulkhead soon asking after being so entranced.

Lily and Oscar are basically forever, Lando is rightfully loving his life sharing his beautiful body with people, and the fan fiction for the ship is staggeringly amazing so we're very very happy w the status quo <3

and we do NOT share rpf content with Lando, Oscar, anyone in F1, the families - basically if they're not someone you know solely in fandom, you don't share rpf with them. again, you will not find support for that here.

I "officially" joined landoscar fandom around Silverstone 2023 and these have been the hard lines taken for as long as I can remember and from all of the OG people in this fandom. esp from people who've been here since Oscar's Alpine tweet bc landoscar is unique in not having led with a PR image and we've all gotten to see every nervous, stumbling and authentic progression of their partnership and friendship along the way - at no point feeling the need to cross the boundary between fic and reality. it truly is charming and intriguing and rewarding as it exists in reality!

like I said - landoscar has always been the exception of no one ever slipping over into trying to "make it real" in large part bc Lando and Oscar don't do the PR bromance/fake gay/fan service stuff which !reminder! is content in other ships I absolutely eat up and is 100% targeted to me but !! I'm also aware is connected to a lot of inappropriate fan behavior from ppl who blur the lines between amusing PR content and reality. trust me, I had to basically abandon carland0 which was my very first f1 ship bc to this day - fully out in the open - I see casual misogyny thrown around about Rebecca and ppl truly loudly thinking Lando and Carlos - who have always referred to each other as brothers and who laugh at the "gay" stuff they do precisely bc it's not real - genuinely fcked and/or dated. I will never care enough about an rpf ship to willingly encounter that shit on a regular basis. I know there's a lot of good ppl in the ship who don't engage in that stuff but I have such a hard line about wag hate that it's not worth it for me.

ironically or maybe because of, Lando and Oscar are the only drivers to NOT engage in playing gay for laughs BUT also who hit multiple progressive bullet points in things like discussing romance and dating in gender neutral terms and not making a big deal out of consuming or discussing queer media etc. they actually walk the walk in not pushing gender identity or sexual orientation on hypotheticals or on each other. they also don't do any macho/tradmasc behavior with each other or even bro-ey stuff like rough-housing or loud, aggressive humor (nothing wrong with loud bro stuff tho as long as it doesn't veer into toxic territory! I come from hockeyblr originally so it can be really sweet!)

and landoscar is also the exception in that we all ADORE Lily and have zero interest in trying to erase her let alone anyone be hostile toward her. in straight people culture they're basically already married and that's how they were when landoscar started as a ship! a lot of us have regularly made posts similar to this for newer fans to remind them that Lily (and whoever Lando ends up with as a steady partner) are NOT pawns in an rpf game. Lily is a real human woman with a real life relationship with Oscar and while no one is obliged to engage w wag content, respecting her existence is the bare minimum expected.

the last point I should make is that there's a very clear difference for instance on my blog where I see fanservice ship content about say charl0s or frand0 or n0rtrell and lose my mind over it and love it etc. but then there's Alex or Rebecca or Pietra on my blog! bc I can have fun without erasing women or losing common sense!!

whereas whenever I post stuff about a friendship that rly does make me Feel Things and write my insane essays, it's bc of what the relationships verifiably are and not what they aren't. Max F truly has a complexity and level of depth in his relationship with Lando that is unique and special to each other's lives. in the same way, Lando and Oscar truly do have a particular charm and fondness for each other that's made them approach each other unusually tentatively and slowly - while also having such intense blushing fondness as well as a uniquely intriguing maturity to their professional partnership. this stuff is fascinating and those two examples in particular swim around into all kinds of social/emotional territory.

in ways that do not require conspiracies and fan theories of them fcking or dating to make them compelling.

(and tbh the fact that Lando has some form of "crush" on a lot of handsome men and subconsciously/consciously "flirts" is absolutely fine to enjoy... as long as none of it gets outside of fandom.)

and the fan fiction for landoscar is truly TRULY staggeringly prolific and immensely talented so that's where we go for imagining them in any other type of reality <3

Apparently the co-creator of Arcane said that Viktor is asexual right after the show ended and people started shipping jayvik... Sorry but it looks weird!! Are you trying to stop people from shipping these characters? Because it won't stop!

You know, disabled people, people with autism and people with mental illness are often portrayed as asexual because they think they're incapable of falling in love or that they don't deserve to be loved. Furthermore, with disabled people reinforce the idea that they aren't desirable. People can't imagine the idea of them having sex, enjoying intimacy.

I mean sure, it's okay to headcanon Viktor as asexual (more if you are asexual, we need more ace representation), but I don't think the co-creator of the show is doing that in good faith. Something that rots my brain about TFP is how Megatron has a 'Soundwave' voice. Everyone else he's out here growling and huffing and PISSED that they are even standing in the same room as him. Soundwave though? Bestie. He's relaxed around him. He laughs. He jokes. He says his name so softly whenever he asks him to do something. He was visibly trying not to blow a gasket when Soundwave got captured. Like.....I'm mentally ill.

It’s like to everyone else he’s lord Megatron but Soundwave is the closest person he’d call a friend?? ausghghg

He personally attended him when Laserbeak had issues and told Knockout to fix his visor for him earnestly 😭 also he always compliments Soundwave on a job well done I, hgfhgf

Also the direct comparison of how Megatron reacts to Starscream being captured by autobots being: YOU IDIOT HE’S GOING TO TELL THEM EVERYTHING HE KNOWS, to Soundwave being captured: Soundwave knows when to withold information.

He completely trusts Soundwave where he just straight up asks how loyal another Decepticon is, he knows Starscream’s activities behind his back because of Soundwave, he’s just the best

But yeah I agree. Maybe not exactly for the reasons you give, mostly because I don’t feel familiar with horror and dust quite yet to say, but because I hate nightmare and the thought of him being able to bag any hoes—let alone three baddies—is sickening. He don’t deserve them ong.

And also I hate the way killer is depicted in almost all interpretations, most people only tend to focus on pairs than the whole, and honestly it’s kinda overrrated and convoluted to me.

And also I hate shipping Nightmare with the person he’s at least canonically abused and used and dehumanized and terrorized the hell out of. Killer will always have to carry a reputation out into the Multiverse exactly because of Nightmare. He will always be isolated. Viewed as a threat, a snake in the grass just waiting to strike.

People would never trust him. They’d look at him with disgust and anger and fear. Some would even try to kill and hurt or control him or “fix” him. They’d want to lock him up or even kill him because of what he had to do under Nightmare.

No one was going to save him. He’s lucky three people even tried and offered to help. He could’ve died under Nightmare and people would’ve cheered. All because of how Nightmare used him for his own ends.

those guys are all in the hut at cape evans together. CHERRY and ATKINSON who you probably know were also technically part of the science team but they lived in the tenements (bunk area) so feel separate to me... and DAY and GRAN lived on the scientists' side as well.

elsewhere we have:

RAYMOND "RAY" PRIESTLEY - geologist of the northern party (the guys stuck in an ice cave). antarctic veteran and local sweetheart. no longer the ingenue he was on the nimrod expedition. now he is balding <3 has hordes of pretty sisters for his friends to marry (silas and griff did this)

DENIS "OOZE" LILLIE - biologist of the ship's party. expert in whales and deep-sea creatures. very eccentric, dreamy, probably transgender. believes he was a roman in a past life. draws caricatures of everyone and some are really mean.

Sammy Davis Jr. (Anna Lucasta, Ocean's Eleven, Porgy and Bess)—It feels disrespectful to describe one of the most talented performers in history this way, but he's got the "little" down and he also always had a scrungy edge about him. Somehow always the coolest guy in the room despite this.

Michael Dunn (Ship of Fools, Kampf um Rom, No Way to Treat a Lady)—okay so he may be considered conventionally attractive HOWEVER. the way he does facial expressions has always read as especially scrungly to me even as a child. the wide eyes, the particular way he moves his mouth, the incredibly animated eyebrows. some parts of his body acting too, particularly the way he moves his arms and shoulders, has a certain scrungliness to it. this is especially evident in some of his longer running tv roles but I think it's also present in his films. Additionally, from what I can tell he seemed to be an all around pretty decent guy AND he's a killer singer.

Sammy Davis Jr.:

admittedly he may be too unremittingly cool for this. uh. but i just watched sweet charity and i felt he was super scrungly in that? maybe it's just the 1960s talking but i thought he ate this. sorry.

Michael Dunn:

an intense, meaningful, thoughtful character actor who always manages to run away with every role he's given, Michael Dunn shows up across projects in the 1960s. I don't know if he truly counts as a scrungle, because in so many of his parts he has such magnetism I wouldn't call his persona strange or feral or anything—but I think he's an underrepresented character actor who does bring a great well of warm quirkiness to his parts! i hope you include him because I wish people knew more about him. One last fun fact is that he was nominated for both a Tony and an Academy Award.

I love this part because Michael Dunn's character is right! And warm, and it's comforting. Also a good showcase of his great expressions, at the end when he starts laughing.
